Ms. Yolanda Victoria Torres is a Certified Family Law Specialist, State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization [Which has many requirements, such as trial experience in various areas of family law, being held in high esteem by peers, and favorably evaluated by other attorneys and judges].  Ms. Torres earned her J.D. from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, and her Bachelor's degree in Political Science from California State University, Long Beach. 

Initially, Ms. Torres began her legal career as a certified law clerk for the Orange County District Attorney’’s office, where she received honors. Ms. Torres commenced her family law experience by clerking for the Orange County District Attorney’’s Office, Family Support Division. After being admitted to the State Bar of California, Ms. Torres moved on to work for a renowned boutique law firm in Beverly Hills, where she worked on celebrity divorce actions. A native of Orange County, Ms. Torres returned to Orange County to be close to her friends and family.

Ms. Torres prefers working in a boutique law firm setting as she believes that her clients are better served in that they are able to obtain the one on one attention they need as opposed to the often impersonal attention clients receive from larger law firms. As no two cases are the same, Ms. Torres recognizes the importance of strategy and how understanding her client's needs and personalities should be emphasized in various aspects of their case.

Her diverse professional background has been extremely beneficial in her legal career as a family law attorney. Ms. Torres is also a licensed California real estate broker and a member of the Orange County Association of Realtors. Ms. Torres has a teaching background and taught various subject matter from grades K-6. Her teaching experience was invaluable and provided her with more insight regarding the emotional difficulties divorce has on children.

A graduate of University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law, and California State University, Long Beach, Ms. Torres remains active in various alumni associations. Ms. Torres loves to travel and has traveled extensively throughout the Western United States, and Europe. During college, Ms. Torres was very fortunate to have participated in an exchange program where she was able to live abroad with a host family twice. This experience provided Ms. Torres with the hard to find skills of the ability to greatly understand various cultural perspectives, the legal systems of other countries, and the stigmas that may arise in various situations, such as divorce action.
